Chen Shou, President of the Shenzhen Battery Industry Association, stated that the new energy industry has become an important engine driving the country's economic development. In 2022, the output value of this industry exceeded 600 billion yuan, equivalent to one-fifth of Shenzhen's overall industrial output value. Amid the global context of carbon neutrality, new energy vehicles and energy storage have become two major opportunities for the current world economic development. Shenzhen attaches great importance to the development of the new energy and energy storage industries, aiming to accelerate the creation of a more globally influential economic center and modern international metropolis. It plans to build a new generation of world-class automotive cities and vigorously promote the construction of a world-class new energy storage industry center with a trillion yuan scale.
